About this event
RESERVOIR in collaboration with FEDE and Art School Africa presents a conversation with curators Anelisa Mangcu and Lebo Kekana. Anelisa Mangcu is the founder of Under the Aegis, a curatorial and art advisory service which recently opened a gallery project in the heart of Cape Town. She is also the co-founder of the Victory of the Word NPC, an organisation that works on funding and investment strategies to stimulate and preserve art entities such as Lovedale Press. Mangcu also serves on the advisory board of Art School Africa, and in 2023 was appointed as the Chief Curator of the Stellenbosch Outdoor Photography Exhibition titled 'Freedom, I dream up for myself and others'.
Lebo Kekana is the founder of FEDE, a nomadic gallery that creates site-specific exhibition experiences in varying locations. In addition, Kekana creates physical objects that exist at the intersection of art and design, encouraging interaction from the public while engaging the identity of the spaces FEDE lands in. Kekana is the curator of iSenzo Sak’dala – a group exhibition at RESERVOIR that forms part of the HEAT festival programme.
Light refreshments will be served. Please arrive early to peruse the exhibition.
